ABRAHAM BLESSING ARE OURS - Gal 3:14
The word of God says in Gal 3:29 that, 'And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 'The truth of the matter is, if we believe and testify that we are born again, then! We are Abraham seed and a joint heir with him. And again Romans 8:17 says, 'and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ...'Why Abraham was blessed? He obeyed God thru' his calling, he was counted righteous 600 years before the law, he gave tithe to the Lord- Gen 14:20, also his sons thereafter gave their tithes.
The disobedient Israelites in the wildness were reminded by God to give tithes for it was holy to Him- Lev 27 Many Christians think that tithes were for those in the Old Testament or a tax to them; but Jesus Said, 'unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees or Israelites, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven' - Matt 5:20. Again, Jesus endorsed about paying tithes by saying, you ought to tithe right without hypocrisy - Matt 23:23.
The writer of Hebrew also confirmed that, tithe was God's plan. Jesus Christ, the High Priest lives forever to receive tithes from His Church as He received from Abraham -Heb 74-5-8. As Gal 3:29 says, the believers (the Church) are spiritual seed of Abraham and blessed with better blessing according to the promise - Gal 3:14. To receive these blessing, we must obey as Abraham did. He was the first man in Scriptures to tithe. He gave God the tenth of his income. Make God your number one in your priorities
Tithing also means that, you love God with all your heart, soul and strength. Don't let you soul deceive you. Pull down those arguments and doubts, which are the strongholds of your enemy. Obey Him and your life will never be the same. God who is our Father is a God of covenant and promises - Deut 8:17-18. He provide to you, to be a channel of blessing to His Church and those around you. If you choose to be faithful and obedient, you will eat the good of the land. Behold, this have been searched out, it is true. Hear it and know for yourself and apply.
