AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR CHRIS AND JOAN – VRCC NOTTINGHAM

My name is Pastor Chris Chege and I thank the Almighty God for giving me this opportunity to share with you about what the Lord has done in my life and to Him be all the Glory forever and ever.

  • I grew up in a small village in Kenya called Kangemi in the outskirts of Nairobi where crime was the talk
of the village and it was known that everyone in this village without direction will eventually result into crime since this was the way of life due to high rate of poverty. I eventually ended up engaging into criminal acts which caused me to be in out of jail for years before l met my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
  • God rescued me from death twice at an early age of 16 and 17, where i was a victim of mob justice due to criminal act and today I am a living testimony of what God can do. In 1995, God opened a door for me to
come to the UK but this neither changed my lifestyle. Crime, Alcoholism, drug addiction (cocaine, cannabis, tobacco) and fornication was my chosen way of life. After living in the UK and Ireland for ten (10) years, I decided to change my way of living and l gave my life to the Lord. I dedicated everything in my life to God
and so far l has seen God as Ebenezer in my life and i will live to tell about His goodness all the days
of my life for He is a faithful God

In 2005, God blessed me with a wonderful wife Joan W.Chege and we were joined in Holy matrimony
and in 2007 we were blessed with a beautiful daughter Juanita. Early 2006 God spoke to me and my
wife to leave the Republic of Ireland to come and reside in London. We obeyed the voice of the Lord
and left Ireland for London where we resided and saw the move of God in a Mighty way. After a few months God spoke again and told us to leave London and move to Nottingham and specifically to Victory Revival Christian Centre (VRCC) where Pastor Joseph Njuguna was the Pastor. Having worked very hard,
we had to leave a brand new house we had just bought and everything behind and obey the voice
of the Lord for the Bible says obedience is better than sacrifice.

In Nottingham VRCC, we served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop John Gichiri and Pastor Joseph Njuguna. We submitted ourselves under this Ministry and we saw the faithfulness of God as we continued to serve Him faithfully, for the Bible says our labour in God is not in vain. When Pastor Joseph Njuguna left the VRCC Nottingham in October 2008, God spoke to Bishop John Gichiri concerning our calling. Thereafter, God spoke to me with my wife confirming Bishop John's message to us. Bishop thereafter started to mentor us as we serve in Victory Revival Christian Centre Nottingham. This is after the departure of the previous Pastor and we had to obey His voice and respond to the call of God. Through guidance and mentorship from our dad and mum Bishop John Gichiri and Rev Margret, God has been very faithful to us since then and we have seen Him moving in a very unique way in our ministry. The church has grown from a 5 member church when we took over to a large congregation and the Glory goes to God.

God has called us especially for the young generation and He is using us in Prophetic, healing and deliverance in ministry. He has blessed us with faithful members who support us with prayers and stand with us and we give God all the glory for what He is doing in VRCC Nottingham and we know the best is yet to come. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear had, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him 1 cor 2:9. In summer 2009 God spoke to us to start 3.00 am prayers according to Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me and God is moving in a supernatural way. Deliverance, healing and restoration is taking place and people are loosed from mediocrity, satanic bondages, circles, curses, strongholds and obstructions. Souls are coming to Christ, God has raised our 1st millionaire in the church, raised entrepreneurs, stopped deportations, overturned high court decisions and we give God all the Glory. VRCC Nottingham church is founded on the Rock, Jesus Christ, whose major emphasis is teaching of the Word and prayer. It's a place where everyone is valued and people from all nations come to worship and we thank God for what He is doing. Our vision is to reach out to the youth, the lost, the wounded, the homeless, the prisoners, the rejected, the drug addicts and the alcoholics. To win their souls for Jesus, and to give them the love of Jesus Christ and to give them a place of belonging in the family of God. When you come to VRCC Nottingham expect to meet the love of Jesus Christ, the presence of God, the family of God with friendly and loving brothers and sisters. "Not by might, not by power but by my spirit, says the Lord of Host." (Zechariah 4:6)
